Impossible Die Prediction

A large 4 inch die created from beautiful hardwoods is given to a spectator. The performer turns his back to the volunteer or even leaves the room! The helper is requested to select any side of the die and remember that number and to place the die on the table with his selection facing up OR down (It may be placed in a bag, put in a box or locked trunk, placed under a cloth, ….. whatever!) The performer can now reveal the spectator’s selection.
The effect can be repeated as often as desired and the performer is NEVER WRONG.
